Tim Fitch, a Farmington resident and United Way Constitution Society member, was among the American Red Cross volunteers who responded after three devastating tornadoes hit the Springfield, Massachusetts, metro area in June 2011. We sat down with Tim to find out what motivates him to give of his time and dollars. The following is an excerpt from our conversation.

2010 United Way Community Campaign raises $25 million!

 

 

HARTFORD — The 2010 United Way Community Campaign, which serves 40 towns of central and northeastern Connecticut, came to an official close Tuesday. While results are still coming in, the 2010 United Way Community Campaign has raised $25,051,513 to date. More than 54,000 individuals across central and northeastern Connecticut have participated in the campaign, including employees at more than 760 workplaces.
