United Way thanks the following workplaces for participating in the 2011 United Way Community Campaign by running an employee campaign, making a corporate gift, or serving as a sponsor or media partner.

Bertram “Bert” Scott, president of U.S. Commercial Markets at Cigna, will chair the 2011 United Way Community Campaign, which raises resources to improve education, financial stability and health and provide a safety net of services across 40 towns in central and northeastern Connecticut.

Pratt & Whitney and the Hartford Wolf Pack joined forces Saturday night to support the United Way Community Campaign. Hundreds of employees from Pratt & Whitney and other United Technologies Corporation companies attended the Wolf Pack’s home game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers as part of a game coupon program that raises money for local charitable causes.

Nearly 150 friends of United Way gathered at 30 Laurel Street in Hartford on Friday, September 11th, to take a stand for the community by supporting the United Way Community Campaign.

The United Way Community Campaign presented its 2009 Courage Award to William J. Frye of New Britain during Jumpstart 2009, a training event for volunteer campaign coordinators held Wednesday, June 24, at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford.
