Why should my organization enter?

You should enter the United Way Best of Awards to showcase the work that you and your organization are doing on behalf of the community. Imagine being able to say your company runs an award-winning United Way campaign! This is also an opportunity to generate excitement and share ideas with others to create the most successful campaigns for our community.

How do I enter?

  • Fill out an entry form.
  • For each category you enter, submit a description of your entry and supporting materials (i.e. photos, documents, websites, letters, results, posters, invitations, t-shirts, etc.)
  • All media (i.e. photos, video and audio) should be burned to CD.
  • On the CD, please include a 35-word overview description of each entry and two JPG photos from your campaign in the event your entry becomes a finalist.
  • Mail your complete entry to:

Who may enter?

Any organization that runs a United Way Campaign in 2010 may enter.

When are entries due?

Photo and video submissions are due November 1. All other entries are due December 30.

Who will judge the awards?

To maintain fairness in the judging, the United Way Best of Awards nominations will be judged by a combination of United Way employees and volunteers.

When will the winners be announced?

All finalists will be invited to attend a red carpet awards gala in early 2011, where the winners will be announced.
