Tune in to WTIC 1080-AM at 8 a.m. Saturday for United Way's Community Connections!

Tune in to WTIC 1080-AM, on Saturday, November 20, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. for this month’s discussion: “A Network of Help and Hope"

Most of us are familiar with the red Salvation Army donation buckets that appear during the winter holiday season, and turkey-drives and toy collections are everywhere. The organizations that provide these services are part of a safety net of United Way Community Investment partners that helps our neighbors get back on their feet all year long. Today, Paula Gilberto, senior vice president of United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, and host Ray Dunaway will speak with a staff member from The Salvation Army’s Marshall House shelter in Hartford, as well as a woman who has changed her life with help from the network of United Way partners. We’ll also get an update on the 2010 Community Campaign.

Please join us for an inspiring and informative discussion!
