West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square welcome the season with their Second Annual Spring Stroll on Saturday, May 5, 2012. From 10am to 4 pm, shoppers and diners will have the opportunity to learn about and support local charities and programs while receiving discounts and sampling the best that businesses have to offer.

Starting last year, United Way signed on to a sports branding sponsorship with UConn to create opportunities to expand our messaging to hundreds of thousands of people in our community. The agreement includes on-court recognition at one UConn women’s basketball game. We chose the Huskies’ Big East game against the University of South Florida Bulls to highlight the United Way Women’s Leadership Council.

The City of Hartford has been awarded $20,000 from the U.S. Conference of Mayors to implement the Mayors National DollarWi$e Campaign, Mayor Pedro E. Segarra announced Jan. 9.

The Women's Leadership Council is working to bring family financial stability programs to Burr School, one of Harford's Community Schools.
