Remember to wear your United Way Day of Caring t-shirt to your project site. |

|
Expect to learn about the organization at which you are volunteering, their mission, and the work they are doing to make our community better. |
|
|
Expect that there will be media opportunities during the day. The media will receive project lists and may visit any of the sites. |
|
|
You may receive a visit from United Way Community Campaign volunteers and staff who visit as many project sites as possible during the day. |
|
|
Please remember to maintain the level of professionalism that you would at your workplace. |
|
|
Please be discreet about details of clients you meet and circumstances that you encounter, to respect confidentiality. |
|
|
Remember, there is no rain date for United Way Day of Caring, so review the information provided by the organization regarding inclement weather plans and procedures. |

|
Expect to be thanked by organization staff as you are working on your project. |
